The Venue: Esencia Casa Rural
Debbie and her husband Neil look forward to welcoming you to their Spanish home ‘Esencia Casa Rural’, where they have enjoyed hosting several successful holistic retreats.
With a maximum of six guests staying on any retreat, Debbie & Neil work hard to exude a genuinely laid-back, home-from-home atmosphere that is friendly yet unobtrusive. Look forward to a delightful retreat in a beautiful area. Esencia is less than a five-minute walk into the heart of the village with a wide variety of the region's best restaurants, vibrant cafes, tapas bars, & chic boutiques.
Just a few steps away there are many peaceful walks in the surrounding picturesque mountains of Benahavis, a beautiful nature reserve abundant with flora & fauna!

The Qi Vitality Wellness Retreat begins at 6pm on Thursday 16th May when we will gather for welcome refreshments and introductions until 7pm.
8.15 am: Complimentary teas and fruit pre-Pilates
8.30 – 9.30am: Qi-flow Pilates with Debbie
9.30 – 10.30am: Continental buffet breakfast
10.30 – 1.30pm: Free time for treatments, swimming, exploring or just relaxing by the pool
1.30 – 3.30pm: Lunch (not included)
Take a short stroll to the many cafes & tapas bars in Benahavis village, or you may like to stay and make use of the guest kitchen at Esencia to prepare a lunch for yourself.
3.30 – 5pm: Guided local walk in nature with your host Neil.
5 – 6pm: Qi-themed workshop with Debbie or Emma
6-6.30pm: Early evening guided meditation with Debbie
6.30pm onwards: Get ready for sampling a traditional taste of Spain with an evening of fine dining or tasty tapas in the village (not included), or perhaps opt to stay in at Esencia and prepare yourself a simple supper in the guest kitchen.

The retreat ends at 11am on Monday 20th May when we will gather after Pilates & breakfast for a closing farewell.

Meet Your Hosts & Therapists
Debbie is a Traditional Acupuncturist, Reiki Master, Beauty Therapist, Crystal Healer, Meditation & Pilates Teacher, with 33 years’ experience in the beauty, spa & wellness industry. Her work has taken her around the world on-board cruise ships as well as within 5-star luxury hotels & spas in central London.
Specialising in treating stress and related conditions, Debbie has operated her freelance therapy business in and around London since 1995. With much of her career having been based in the heart of London’s Theatreland, Debbie has had the privilege of treating a wide variety of people from all walks of life and has built a varied client list that includes some well-known actors, actresses, film makers, musicians and other showbiz folk.
After graduating from the London College of Traditional Acupuncture, Debbie pioneered the popular Acu-Spa Facial in 2001 which she created for The Sanctuary Spa, Covent Garden - the first of its kind to integrate cosmetic acupuncture into a spa facial. In 2004 Debbie became one of the original team of On-Site Massage Therapists at Google UK head offices where she continued to work regularly for many years.
Now based in North London, Debbie & her husband Neil also spend part of the year at Esencia Casa Rural, which is a large townhouse with holiday apartments in Southern Spain. Debbie designs and hosts Qi-themed wellness retreats, workshops & courses at Esencia, as well as offers one to one treatments in London and online.
Emma is a highly respected and sought-after therapist, with over 25 years’ experience working within the health and wellness sector.
Beginning her career at the Sanctuary Day Spa in Convent Garden, Emma first met and worked alongside Debbie Potter-Wilson, where she practised holistic clinical aromatherapy for the face and body, therapeutic and acupressure massage, reflexology and Indian Head Massage.
Emma subsequently trained in Traditional Chinese Medicine: Acupuncture, in London and China, gaining a BSc (Hons) degree from the University of Westminster in 2002.
As an accredited Acupuncturist, Emma has worked onboard 6-star spas for Disney and Holland America cruise liners. With international experience of working with people who are physically challenged, suffering from chronic pain and/or stress related disorders, Emma can offer you a dynamic blend of the scientific and holistic, and of Eastern and Western therapeutic approaches.
Since 2017, Emma has been an Acupuncture Lecturer and Clinical Supervisor on the Acupuncture Diploma Course at the College of Naturopathic Medicine in London, where she is also undertaking training in Naturopathy to become a Naturopathic Acupuncturist.
Currently based at Your Mind, Your Body (YMYB) Health & Wellness Centre in Andover, Hampshire, besides health, Emma’s other passions include dancing, yoga, meditation, reading, writing, travelling, laughing and having fun!
Neil served as a Metropolitan Police Officer in and around central London for thirty years and retired in June 2013. During his career he had the opportunity of comprehensively understanding customer service and is committed to delivering high standards. He is a keen hiker and cyclist with a good knowledge of Benahavis and the surrounding area.

Participants must be 18 or over.
In the unlikely event that you need to cancel your booking, cancellation fees will be charged as detailed below.
4 weeks’ notice, 50% refund, 2 weeks’ notice, 25% refund, 1 weeks’ notice, no refund.
We will endeavor to re-sell your booking and, if successful, any payments received will be considered when calculating your cancellation fee.
We would welcome substitute participants attending in your place at no additional cost.
